Permissions, explained

Choose a photo
ImageEdit uses the Android system file/image picker. Only the content you select is provided to the editor; the app does not need to browse your full media library.
Save a copy
On Android 9 or earlier, the app may request permission to write to shared storage. On newer Android versions, saving follows the storage APIs available to the app. If a chosen destination is unavailable, choose the default Pictures destination. Exported files remain in their saved location when the app is removed.
Connect to the internet
Internet access supports optional font and creative-resource downloads, usage analytics and crash reporting. Editing an already available image with downloaded resources runs on the device.
Permissions not used
The ImageEdit build removes inherited broad image/video/audio reading, foreground-service and notification permissions. It does not ask for camera, microphone, contacts or precise-location access. Advertising-related normal permissions may be present through Google SDKs; see the privacy policy.
Control access
Review app permissions in Android Settings → Apps → ImageEdit → Permissions. The system picker may also expose cloud providers you installed; those providers operate under their own policies.
